CIF Beach Privacy

What CIF Beach is

CIF Beach runs tournament days for CIF Los Angeles City Section girls beach volleyball: pools, brackets and live scores. Spectators can follow along without an account. Coaches and players sign in to join their school's team.

What we keep

• Sign-in: your name and email from Sign in with Apple or Google.
• Your profile, if you add it: a photo, a favorite quote and a favorite player.
• Your team: your school, pair (A, B or C), partner, matches and results.
• Notifications, if you turn them on: a token that lets us tell your iPhone when your court opens.
• Crash reports: if the app crashes or freezes, your iPhone sends a technical report (iPhone model, iOS version and where in the app it stopped) so it can be fixed. Only CIF Beach admins see these.

Who can see it

• Players are students, so names and photos are shown only to people signed in to the app.
• Scores, schools and brackets are public, like a scoreboard at the beach.
• Your email is never shown to other users.

Reviews, reports and blocks

• Reviews: new or changed names, photos, quotes and coach announcements are checked by CIF Beach admins before anyone else sees them. Until then only you and the admins can see them.
• Reports: when you report a profile or announcement, we keep your reason, any details you add and a copy of what you reported. Only CIF Beach admins see reports; the person reported isn't told who reported them.
• Blocks: the people you block are saved to your account so their photo, quote and announcements stay hidden on your devices. Nobody else sees your block list, and the person isn't told.
• Reviews, reports and blocks are deleted along with your account.

What we never do

• No ads, no tracking and no analytics companies.
• We never sell or share your information.
• Google and Apple sign-in are used only to confirm who you are.

Where it's stored

Data is stored securely with Supabase, our database provider. Notifications are delivered through Apple.

Deleting your information

You can remove your photo and profile details in the app at any time. To delete your account and everything attached to it, tap Delete Account at the bottom of Account in the app. It's deleted right away. You can also email timbergeron@gmail.com and it will be deleted within 30 days. Match scores stay in the tournament record without your name.
